My Plastic. My Responsibility.

Athak works tirelessly to reduce the average plastic footprint per person by reducing the quantum of plastic in circulation, spreading awareness regarding the overuse of plastic to curb its usage and the effective adoption of sustainable solution to tackle the menace of plastic.”

Our Arthak Foundation

Athak Foundation is dedicated to sustainable waste management, with a strong focus on plastic waste disposal and raising awareness. Over the past two years, Athak has partnered with organizations like Attero for electronic waste collection and ensures proper handling of glass waste. Athak foundation also organizes drives to collect items like clothes and toys, which are donated to Vanvasi communities in rural Maharashtra.

In collaboration with the Hariyali group, Athak now facilitates Nirmalya waste collection that is used for composting. This month’s collection (Athak’s 90th Plastic Collection drive) was a great success, with many people bringing flowers in paper bags. The collected Nirmalya was taken to the Hariyali site at Anand Nagar, where it was spread over a bed of dry leaves, aiding in the natural composting process.

Our electronic waste & glass waste collection witnessed good response from Mulundkars as usual. Athak is committed to handling all types of waste responsibly, reducing landfill burden, and promoting sustainable practices.

Our ultimate goal is to create a 'Zero Garbage City,' where all waste is processed in an eco-friendly manner. Through these initiatives, Athak is building a cleaner, greener future, fostering community involvement, and turning waste challenges into opportunities for positive change.
